What can Discera do?

Getting started·Jul 6, 2026·2 min·By Discera Team

See everything Discera does — run questions across every Gong call, schedule reports, win/loss by deal, competitor mentions, exports, and more.

TL;DR

Discera runs a question you write — in plain English — across every Gong call in a segment, and returns a finished report. Beyond that core loop you can put questions on a schedule, break results down by deal, track competitor mentions, upload your own transcripts to chat with, and export your data. This page is the map; each feature links to its own guide.

How it works

Discera connects to Gong (read-only) and, optionally, HubSpot for deal context. You point a plain-English question at a slice of your calls and Discera analyzes every matching call, finds the pattern, and writes a structured report with an executive summary, the calls behind each insight, and per-call findings. Everything below builds on that.

The core loop's payoff: a finished report — executive summary, the calls behind each insight, and per-call findings.

Ask questions across your calls

  • ·Run an analysis (/new) — write a question or pick one from the library, scope it by date range, call count, and filters, then run it. See Writing your own prompt and the Prompt library.
  • ·Read a report (/reports) — themes, metrics, quotes, and the handful of calls behind each insight, downloadable as a document. See Reading a report.
Run an analysis on /new — write a question or start from the library.

Automate it

  • ·Schedules (/schedules) — turn any analysis into a standing daily, weekly, or weekday rerun, delivered to Slack or your inbox. See Creating a schedule.

Go deeper on deals and competitors

  • ·Win/Loss by deal (/win-loss) — one diagnosis per deal, rolled into a win/loss briefing, with a deal explorer to drill in. See Win/Loss by deal. (Growth and up.)
  • ·Competitor analysis (/competitor-analysis) — analyzes how you compete across your calls and deals: positioning, objections, pricing, and win/loss against each rival, rolled into per-competitor battlecard dossiers and a landscape briefing. See Competitor analysis. (Growth and up.)
  • ·Insights (/insights) — themes, competitors, objections, and buyer asks rolled up automatically across every analysis, your Win/Loss diagnoses, and Competitor-mention scans, led by an AI brief of what's changed. See What does the Insights tab show?. (Growth and up.)
Go deeper: Win/Loss rolls one diagnosis per deal into a briefing (Growth and up).

Bring your own transcripts and take your data

  • ·Upload & chat (/uploads) — upload interview transcripts that aren't in Gong and have a multi-turn Q&A across the whole set. See Upload and chat with transcripts.
  • ·Exports (/exports) — pull your Gong transcripts and HubSpot deal metadata as a portable file — no quota used. See Exporting your data.

Ask an AI to drive Discera

  • ·The in-app assistant — describe an analysis in plain English and Discera's built-in AI agent sets it up, previews it, and runs it, or answers questions across your calls. See The Discera AI assistant.
  • ·Claude, ChatGPT, and other clients — connect Discera's tools over OAuth so an outside AI client can read your reports and run analyses. See The MCP server and Claude.

Next steps

New to Discera? Start with your first analysis — connect Gong, write one question, and read the report. Everything else builds from there.

§ Common questions

Frequently asked.

Do I need to use every feature?

No. Most teams start with one analysis on /new, put the best question on a weekly schedule, and add win/loss or competitor mentions later. Setup is connecting Gong and writing one question.

Which features need a higher plan?

Running analyses, reports, schedules, exports, and transcript uploads are available on every plan. Win/Loss by deal, Competitor mentions, and Insights are on Growth and up. Your exact limits show under /settings.

Does Discera change anything in Gong or HubSpot?

No. Discera is read-only. It reads calls from Gong and deal context from HubSpot; it never writes back. Every transcript it analyzes is archived in your workspace and exportable anytime.
